Hogeschool Enschede
The project has been built in 3 phases.
Phase 1 was the construction of 3 pavilions and the connections to the existing building.
Phase 2 included the renovation and expansion of the existing building including creating a new entrance hall.
Phase 2 was done during the college year. To minimise the nuisance of the construction to the education and users, a careful implementation order and implementing methodologies was chosen.
A free layout and lage spans were chosen, which enables different kinds of educatinon (for example, project education). Also towards the future this structural flexibility will not be an obstacle for growth and new kinds of education.
Through application of special materials, shapes and sleek constructions, a striking new building has arisen. The entrance hall has become a generous invitation to enter the building.
