On this location of the Treasury, some existing parts have been demolished in phases and gradually moved to the new buildings. A number of aspects was crucial in this process.
The infrastructure was a complicating factor. By making good proposals for phasing, complex building methods and therefore extra building costs have succesfully been avoided. The structural design pays a lot of attention to the coordination of functions of the plinth building and the underground parking layers.
The main bearing structure is fully coordinated with the architectural starting points. This resulted in the fact that the floors have been made using the Bubbledeck system which allows them to follow the geometrical form of the floor plan and which allows them to transfer loads in two directions as a flat plate.
