State Council, The Hague
A new building has arisen along the Parkstraat behind the existing monumental facade and the style rooms directly behind the facade. The rest of the builing has been demolished.
During construction, the facades and style rooms were propped, which ensured stability during construction of the adjacent building pit for the basement for archives.
The main bearing structure for the upper levels has been made in steel, which allowed the cantilevering building parts to be mounted efficiently.
