KPN Papendorp, Utrecht
A new office for KPN (telecom company) has arisen at the intersection of the A2 and A12 in Utrecht.
The building has 9 office levels and two sunken parking levels. The parking space is covered by a green roof, which hides a large number of cars from sight.
A steel truss in the hallway and a "vierendeel" girder in the facade enable the "bridge part" of the building to span 21,6 m. The cantilevering parts have also been constructed with a steel structure.
