Ing. Harm Hoorn, Managing Director / Owner

“I am a thinker and a doer, which is a good combination in this profession. I make sure an architectural design becomes makeable. I break complex problems down to a simple solution. That is what I do.

Sinds 2013 I have been involved with the earthquake problems in Groningen province. Besides analysing and making complex calculations of structures with earthquake loads, we have also developed our own solution. This solution aims to isolate the structure from the underground in a controlled manner (base isolation), which significantly decreases the impact of an earthquake on the structure.

I am proud to say that at present, the first projects with base isolation are under construction in Groningen city.”
