The construction of RottaNova has begun!
Between the "Markthal" and the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam, a new mixed-use project will arise, RottaNova. The design is from Frits van Dongen, and the project consists of 259 apartments (for rent and for sale) with retail and restaurants in the plinth, as well as creative commercial space and a public bicycle garage. The project is located on hisorically important ground: on top of the locks where Rotterdam started to develop some thousand years ago. Because of the historic imporance. the site will be invested archeologically for one year before the actual construction begins.
According to the planning, the building will be finished at the end of 2027.
