A structural engineering office with over 30 years of experience in amongst others high-rise buildings, utility buildings, residential buildings and infrastructure constructions. Both new construction, transformation and monitoring projects are among our references. We also have 20 years of experience with seismic & safety engineering, which includes extensive expertise in resistance of buildings to earthquakes and the impact of possible terrorist acts. We use advanced software and methodologies that are partly developed in-house, including 3D modelling, 3D-FEM calculation software for support structures and simulations and visualizations using virtual twins.

The new headquarters of the European Patent Office (EPO) in The Hague has been one of the largest Dutch building projects of the past few years. Not only the size of the project was exceptional. The building has been delivered with a unique concept: the design has a dubbel facade which has an internal space (between the facades) of 8 meters.
Recently, the EPO building was awarded the international prize for "Best Tall Office Building"!
New buildings is one of the three work areas of Zonneveld ingenieurs. High-rise, innercity, complex, but also simpler projects belong to our impressive oeuvre. The iconic references we would like to mention are: complex innercity projects such as Beursplein Rotterdam, high-rise projects such as Maastoren Rotterdam and ministries of Justice&Interior The Hague and office buildings such as the EPO-building along the A4 high-way.
Another work area of Zonneveld ingenieurs is Transformation. In the past few years, we have been involved with the transformation of Cool63 in the centre of Rotterdam, the renovation of the Sijthoff building in the centre of The Hague, The Dordrechts museum in Dordrecht and the Wijnhavenarea in The Hague.
An important work area of Zonneveld ingenieurs is seismic & safety engineering. Zonneveld is leading in making impact analyses of buildings in the earthquake prone area in Groningen. With our FEM-software and 3D-models we simulate the consequences of an earthquake for a building. We check the results against the NPR9998 norm and give advice as to the reinforcement measures.
