NEW, ZWOLLE, PARKING

The new parking garage at the Katwolderplein in Zwolle has been built for an ever increasing need for parking space in Zwolle. It consists of 1 underground parking layer and 5 layers above ground with a total of approximately 720 vehicles. 500 parking spaces are meant to relieve the pressure on the city centre, and the remaining 200 offer space for the building(project)s in the immediate vicinity. The inner ring road of Zwolle will notice some traffic relief and also the Pathé cinema, adjacent to and even connected with the parking garage, benefits from the available parking spaces in the garage for its visitors.
The facade of the mustard-yellow parking garage has been 'decorated' with oriental colors and patterns in its masonry. The masonry has five different patterns and is tastefully illuminated at night with spotlights.
To increase the sustainability of the garage, the roof consists of 800 square meters of solar panels, and throughout the garage LED illuminations has been applied. 
As one of the first garages, it has been granted a BREEAM-certificate.
